Hymn 467 - His Promise to Me

Main message: God's promise never fails.

Interpretation notes:

  • This hymn uses consecutive quarter notes, sometimes repeated two or three times, followed by syncopated notes. 

  • The first phrase centers around F and the Bb chord. 

  • In the second phrase, the melody and harmony become more active. 

  • The harmony changes after the syncopated notes. 

  • Three fermatas appear in the middle of the hymn.
