Interpretation notes:
This hymn has a simple, steady rhythm with legato melodic lines.
There is a leap of a 4th up and a 5th down in the second measure.
The first system of melody is repeated exactly.
The last line climbs with leaps of 3rds and has higher notes than the first two lines.
The first half of the first two systems is higher than the second half.
Half the congregation can sing the first half, the other half answers with the second half, and everyone sings together for the final system.
