Hymn 374 - Lead On, O King Eternal

Main message: Ask the King of kings to lead us in the spiritual battles.

Interpretation notes:

  • The hymn uses many disjunct melodic leaps. 

  • The third system contains a patterned sequence that leads into the final system. 

  • 'O King Eternal' returns on the same pitch, D, and repeated notes appear near the end. 

  • A crescendo can be used to shape the repeated notes.
